Nestled in the beautiful historic district of Washington, NC, your room with a queen-sized bed is in the historic Frank A. Moss House is a four-minute walk to, well, everything — the Pamlico River, the Waterfront Boardwalk, the Washington Harbor District, and downtown Washington with its quaint shops and restaurants. Also, 4 minutes away from Washington, NC Airport; 30 minutes from Greenville, NC and the ECU Campus; 1 hour away from Swan Quarter and the Ocracoke Ferry.
You will enjoy our home’s large wrap around, brick-floored portico looking out onto a quiet garden and manicured lawn that you are welcome to use. Great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. There’s a cozy reading nook outside your room at the end of the second-floor hallway; a comfortable sitting room on the first floor; a majestic portico that wraps around three sides of the house; and, a back porch on that fourth side. All for your enjoyment and use. And just a short four-minute walk away is the Washington Harbor District with its downtown shops, restaurants, and beautiful waterfront. And please note: We have a very gentle affectionate indoor / outdoor cat, Milo.
We’re happy to make recommendations for restaurants, shops and local sites to visit.
Other things to note
Many people come to the Washington for the beautiful waterfront. There is a public boardwalk that runs along the river and right in front of NC Estuarium. And the quaint historic downtown is only a block away and runs parallel to the waterfront.
